I started my career with the City of Los Angeles in 1988. I began training in a real estate program with a primary focus on real estate appraisal. Over the next nine years, I built my skills in a variety of areas, and this led to an opportunity at Los Angeles World Airports in leasing, concessions, and property management beginning my career in aviation. My current position as Long Beach Airport Director is new, but I have been in a senior management role as airport manager for over 10 years. As airport director, I ensure that the airport is being run safely and efficiently. While these are of primary focus, I also have to work with all staff to develop and grow as great a guest experience as possible, and I must also be responsive to many stakeholders who use and whose lives are impacted by the airport."
