About MOD

Modesto City–County Airport was the nation’s first municipally-owned airport, opening in 1918. Over the years, the airport has grown to cover 435 acres with the capability of serving both commercial and general aviation operations from its parallel runways. At its peak performance for commercial operations in 2007, the airport experienced over 51,500 passenger enplanements. However, with the economic recession airlines have since ceased commercial service from the airport. MOD is actively seeking to restore passenger flights for the local community.
